Such information is not published. Adresses or telephone numbers are even not requested anywhere on this website.

Country of residence is always mentionned.

2.
First name / Name

By default, name is mentionned as breeder, as owner and as submitter of pedigree on concerned webpage(s).

To protect privacy, Chow's Who Pedigrees only publishes first letter of the first name and full surname.

Chow's Pedigree Members may also choose to withhold their name and surname (from "my account" page) as breeder/owner and/or as submitter. Anyone may also contact the webmaster to ask him to withold such information. If so, "Name withheld" will appear instead of name and first name. Country of residence and kennel name will remain online. Name will remain in the selection when addition of a dog.

3.
Email adress and Facebook link

In order to help breeder/owner to promote their kennel or stud dog(s), Chow's Who Pedigrees offers a chance for breeder/owner to add a link to Facebook page or email adress.

To protect privacy, such information is not published by default. Anyone willing to publish should :
- be a Chow's Who Pedigrees Member,
- register its email / Facebook link,
- allow broadcasting (from "my account" page).

By default, no email / Facebook is published.

To avoid spam, note that Email / Facebook addresses are not written on the page. It appears via a link to click (name for email and Facebook logo for Facebook page).

General information

Anyone may access/rectify their personal data or ask it to be erased. These rights may be exercise by contacting webmaster.

Personal data includes information regarding person (email, Facebook, etc.).

RULES & REGULATIONS ABOUT COPYRIGHTS

Legal advice

It is recalled that a picture belongs to its owner and photographer has copyrights on it.

Internet users often think because a picture is published online it allows everyone to copy or reprint it. It is wrong : reprinting a picture without its owner/photographer's permission is illegal and anyone doing this would be vulnerable to legal action. Even if the attention or purpose is good.

Addition of a Chow picture

Anyone adding a picture to Chow's Who Pedigrees certify that permission has been given to publish from owner/photographer.

It is strictly forbidden to copy a picture and add it to the website without permission of its owner.

3.
Addition of a Chow picture

To guaranty security in your pictures reprinting, Chow's Who Pedigrees put a stamp on each picture. Stamp doesn't mean that picture becomes property of Chow's Who Pedigrees. It is just a security and protection of picture's owner. Stamp avoid copying/stealing and help picture's owner to check if this picture has been copied by tracking it. In case of a legal action, it also facilitate picture's owner to prove that the one who publish or upload a stampled picture to another website knew exactly that he/she was stealing a picture. So stamps are here to protect picture's owner and photographer.

Please also note that a simple message to picture's owner asking for permission is really nothing and it avoid potential problems.

Reprinting / Copying

It is stricly forbidden to copy / reprint (websites included) any element (picture, etc.) of this website without any permission. However, a link can be added to another website with credits.

DATA SECURITY & RELIABILITY

Champion certificate(s), win(s), award(s) and health information

Such information is provided by submitter without any kind of guarantee. However, you may find with Internet if the information is true or not. Do not forget that people are almost always honest because a breeder's reputation could be compromised if he/she lies about wins or health issues.

It is recalled that only breeder, owner and submitter of the Chow can alter/update wins and health information. Thus, this offers quite a security.

2.
Chow information & pedigree

Such information is provided by submitter but once submitted, nobody can alter it. This will guarantee a high level of security (and avoid malicious changing).

Anyone noticing a mistake may point it out by clicking on the online form link "report a mistake" available on each webpage or by contacting webmaster directly.

Once pedigree and Chow information are submitted, the pedigree is stated as "not certified". Then, Chow's Who Pedigrees team will review and check it with official pedigree. When pedigree has been checked, it becomes "certified" : it means the information is reliable (as much reliable as it can be, because as a human mistake is always possible !).

Anybody may supply an official pedigree by clicking on the relative link on (available on each webpage). It accelerates the review and gets it quicker/easier. There is no period and sometimes review may take a while if the pedigree is hard to get / not online.

Data security

In case of a Chow owner copyrights infringement complaint (ex. : submitter used a picture wihout permission), Chow's Who Pedigrees might give submitter's name to the Chow owner. By accepting these terms and conditions, submitters are aware of this. Once again, it is another measure to protect Chow owners and enhance their security.
